It is the mission of the CSUDH Police Department to provide a safe campus conducive to education for the university's students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We will accomplish our mission by encouraging community awareness and providing proactive service in a fair, sensitive, and professional manner in support of the university’s mission. The University Police Department will enforce all laws of the state of California and educate the community on safety and risk avoidance practices.

Under 830.2 (c) of the California Penal Code and 89560 of the California Education Code the University Police Department ensures the enforcement of all local, state, and federal laws & codes. In addition, enforcement of all university rules and regulations on California State University property. Enforcement of the above laws, rules, codes, and regulations includes all California State University property and in an area within one mile.
The University Police Department also offers an Escort Program, 24 hours a day. Simply call our non-emergency number at (310) 243-3639 and we will dispatch personnel to escort you to your vehicle. The unit responding to escort you will follow you but can not give you a ride.
University Parking Services is located in the Small College Complex, Room 200, and administers parking requests for special events and guests of the university, in addition to providing assistance with unlocking vehicles parking in our university parking lots. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The office can be reached at (310) 243-3725.
